The Ironwork Studio

The Ironwork Studio is an independent design and conservation consultancy for decorative architectural ironwork, based near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and led by founder and director Bethan Griffiths. It advises on the planning and design of ironwork for new schemes and for the restoration of historic metalwork, drawing on creative design, conservation philosophy, historical knowledge and technical understanding of craftsmanship. Services run from initial concept and assessment through to procurement, including preparing ironwork information for tender packages so that contractors can price accurately and quality can be controlled. The studio works with clients who want decorative metalwork that is well designed and properly specified from the outset.
