Snug Sash is a small team of craftsmen based in Bristol, working since 2017 on the renovation, repair, draught proofing, double glazing and painting of wooden sash windows, casement windows and doors. The firm restores existing windows rather than discarding them, stripping them back to bare wood before repainting so that the original detail is retained. It states that its double glazing method has been permitted and installed in listed buildings in Bristol, allowing period features to be kept while improving thermal performance. The firm presents repair as a more sustainable alternative to replacement, and its work is aimed at owners of Victorian and Georgian homes.
