Sash Window Renovations Scotland

Sash Window Renovations Scotland repairs and renovates traditional sliding sash windows as an alternative to replacement. Its work deals with draughts, rattles, sticking or seized sashes and timber rot, with the stated aim of keeping the authentic appearance of the windows and the character of the building. The renovation process is set out in stages covering the sashes, the sash box, a performance upgrade and additional services. Draught-proofing is offered to improve energy efficiency, reduce rattles and outside noise and ease the sliding action. The firm states that its timber work uses FSC-approved material. It covers Glasgow, Edinburgh, St Andrews, Aberdeen, Stirlingshire, Bute and Argyll and Ayrshire, and offers a free consultation to assess what work is needed. Owners of tenement and period properties wanting to keep their original sash windows may find the firm a useful contact.
