Place Services

Place Services is a public sector environmental consultancy. It provides assessment, planning, design and management advice mainly to councils and other public bodies. Its historic environment team covers historic buildings and archaeology. The team helps clients weigh development against conservation and manage heritage assets sustainably. The consultancy also has built environment specialists in planning, urban design and landscape architecture. A natural environment team covers ecology, arboriculture and countryside management. Clients can draw on one discipline or combine several for larger or more complex briefs. The organisation also offers training, and aims to give public sector clients reliable specialist advice scaled to their needs and budgets. It is relevant to local authorities and public landowners managing listed buildings, conservation areas or archaeological sites.
