Holland Heritage

Holland Heritage is a heritage consultancy whose work centres on conservation statements and conservation plans for historic places. These documents set out why a place matters, look at how vulnerable that significance is, and guide how changes can be made without causing unnecessary harm. Conservation plans are the more detailed of the two. They test proposed future uses against the significance of the site and set out management policies to protect it over time. The consultancy points out that funding bodies often require these reports, both to show that the heritage issues are understood and to show that a funded project will leave the site in better condition. Holland Heritage aims for plans that remain practical working documents throughout the life of a project.
