Headland Archaeology
Headland Archaeology, part of the RSK group, provides archaeology and heritage services to the development and construction sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. It works from regional offices in Luton, Hereford, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Services include heritage consultancy to support planning applications, archaeological fieldwork and contracting, geophysical survey, post-excavation analysis and publication, and community archaeology programmes. Much of its work is on major infrastructure, including road schemes, rail, energy transmission, onshore and offshore wind, hydro and solar farms, and housing sites. It has also worked in historic urban centres, such as India Buildings in Edinburgh’s Old Town and Park Street in Cambridge. Clients can draw on combined experience of archaeology and large construction programmes when planning how to manage the historic environment on a development site.
