Dorothea Restorations is a Bristol-based specialist in the conservation, repair and restoration of architectural metalwork, historic structures and industrial heritage, working across the UK. Its crafts team works in wrought iron, cast iron, steel, copper and its alloys, tin, zinc, lead and gilded finishes, together with associated masonry, joinery and glazing. Work covers gates, railings, metal windows, canopies, domes, balustrades, staircases, bridges, conservatories, bandstands, fountains, ecclesiastical restoration and mill machinery. Named projects include cast iron and lead window restoration at the Pro-Cathedral in Bristol, Quakers Walk gates in Devizes, a water mill at Eastnor Castle and Tower Bridge steam engine repairs. The directors have over 40 years of combined experience.
