Classic Glass

Classic Glass is a stained glass studio in the High Peak, Derbyshire, working since 1989 on new leaded lights and the restoration of historic windows. The studio covers design, manufacture, restoration, repair, installation and protection, and accepts work on churches, public buildings, private homes and Grade I and II listed properties. Restoration involves removing, dismantling, re-leading and refitting panels, with stone mullions checked for damage at the same time; temporary glazing is fitted while panels are in the workshop. The firm also refurbishes and replicates traditional metal casement windows, including stays and handles, and encapsulates leaded lights within sealed units. It states it has worked on National Trust projects and with church councils, architects and conservation organisations.
