Bramah Security Equipment Ltd is London’s oldest security company, established at 124 Piccadilly in 1784 by the engineer Joseph Bramah and now based in Fitzrovia and Romford. It still manufactures Bramah locks, whose keys can be registered so that replacements are cut only in London on the owner’s authority, and which can be mastered or keyed alike.
