Clear

The Square Pipe Front Offset Eared provides a front-projection offset for a cast iron square downpipe run, moving the pipe away from or closer to the wall face whilst keeping the run vertical. The eared version incorporates integral ears for direct wall fixing at the offset position. Used where the wall face changes plane — at projecting bays, string courses, or changes in wall thickness — and the pipe run must maintain its vertical alignment.

Available in three sizes: 75×75mm (3″×3″), 100×100mm (4″×4″), and 125×125mm (5″×5″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Manufactured in cast iron to BS 460:2002. For specification support, call 0333 987 4452.

Is the Ornamental Airbrick appropriate for a Grade II listed building?

Is the Ornamental Airbrick appropriate for a Grade II listed building?

Yes. The ornamental foliate pattern was widely used in Victorian construction and is appropriate for Grade II listed buildings and conservation area properties. Its decorative character is often preferable to a plain pattern on prominent or formal elevations. We recommend confirming the pattern with your conservation officer as part of any listed building consent application.

My house has a plastic guttering system. Can I use your brackets to replace my exisiting broken ones?

My house has a plastic guttering system. Can I use your brackets to replace my exisiting broken ones?

Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.

What building types is the School Board Cast Iron Airbrick suited to?

What building types is the School Board Cast Iron Airbrick suited to?

The School Board Airbrick is suited to Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, mid-century school buildings, civic halls, public baths, and converted institutional buildings. Its plain square-grid face matches the utilitarian aesthetic of late-Victorian construction and is also appropriate for new heritage-style builds in conservation areas.
