The Rectangular Pipe Branch allows a secondary rectangular downpipe run to join the primary vertical run at a junction point, combining two drainage paths into one. Used where two gutter outlets — from different elevations, slopes, or roof areas — converge and need to be brought into a single downpipe run before reaching the drain or gully at ground level.
The branch maintains the rectangular profile at all three connections and is manufactured to ensure a clean junction without excessive restriction to the flow. Available in the standard range of rectangular pipe sizes. Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Manufactured in cast iron to BS 460:2002. For listed buildings and period properties. The Ornamental Airbrick is suited to Victorian villas, bay-fronted terraces, Gothic Revival institutional buildings, church halls, and civic buildings where decorative ironwork is part of the architectural language. It is also appropriate for listed buildings and conservation area properties where the airbrick is on a prominent elevation and the ventilation grille is expected to carry decorative character.
Casting of iron is an imperfect processs. It is possible with some cast iron radiators that you will get minor imperfections in the surface finish. When radiators are painted this will reduce and over the years every additional coat of paint applied will provide a smoother more equal finish.
