A genuine cast iron rainwater pattern the G46 or No.46 is available in two profile sizes. The profile is a larger version of the more traditional ogee (OG) curved pattern and offers increased capacity.

The cast iron G46 moulded gutter union clip joins adjacent G46 gutter sections in a run, bridging the socket-and-spigot joint to create a continuous, mechanically connected system. The union clip is correctly profiled for the G46 moulded section — the larger Victorian and Edwardian ogee pattern — and provides the fixing point for the jointing compound seal at every section joint in the run.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002. Available in both G46 profile sizes: 125mm (5″) and 150mm (6″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Used in conjunction with gutter bolts and jointing compound at every joint. The G46 union clip is not interchangeable with common ogee clips.
Specified on listed buildings and heritage restoration projects where the G46 moulded pattern is the historically correct profile. Accepted by conservation officers as the appropriate fitting for period rainwater work.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
Our cast iron airbricks are supplied in primed finish, ready for on-site painting. This allows them to be finished to match the existing ironwork or masonry colour of the building. Standard black gloss is the most common finish for conservation and heritage projects.
A pole winder opener has a fixed-length arm, making it suited to standard rooflight positions with a consistent throw. Our cast iron airbricks are available in three standard sizes: 225mm × 75mm (single course), 225mm × 150mm (double course), and 225mm × 225mm (square format). These correspond to the standard airbrick positions used in Victorian and Edwardian brickwork. Each size is available across the School Board, Louvre, and Ornamental pattern ranges.

A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.
Half round gutter has a simple semicircular profile and is the most widely used pattern across all building types and periods. Ogee (OG) gutter has an S-shaped decorative profile, historically associated with Victorian and Edwardian properties. Moulded ogee profiles, such as the G46 and Regent No.16, have a more elaborate cross-section with additional mouldings and are typically found on larger or more architecturally significant buildings. The correct choice depends on what is already present on the building and any requirements set by a conservation officer.
