A genuine cast iron rainwater pattern the G46 or No.46 is available in two profile sizes. The profile is a larger version of the more traditional ogee (OG) curved pattern and offers increased capacity.
The cast iron G46 moulded gutter fascia bracket is the standard fixed support for the G46 pattern, mounting to the front face of the fascia board to carry the gutter at the correct line and level. The bracket cup is shaped specifically for the G46 moulded section — the larger Victorian and Edwardian ogee profile — ensuring a secure and correctly seated fit without modification.
Available in both G46 profile sizes: 125mm (5″) and 150mm (6″). Cast iron construction with factory black finish. Fixed bracket with no height adjustment — for adjustable fall control on long runs or uneven fascias, see the drive-in rise and fall bracket. The G46 fascia bracket is not interchangeable with common ogee brackets.
Specified on listed buildings and heritage restoration projects where the G46 moulded pattern is the historically correct profile. Accepted by conservation officers as the appropriate fixing for period rainwater work on Victorian, Edwardian, and later period buildings.

The Antique Black finish suits Victorian, Edwardian, and inter-war buildings where ventilation ironwork was painted rather than polished — estate houses, terrace housing, civic buildings, and rural properties. A corner hopper head collects rainwater from two gutters running at right angles and channels it into a single downpipe. They are typically required at internal roof valleys, on hipped roofs, and wherever two runs of gutter converge at a corner. The Regent H1A is designed specifically for this application and is sized to suit the most common gutter profiles.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.

We manufacture a wide variety of brackets for many different cast iron gutter and pipe profiles. More common types are the rise and fall, top fix and side fix rafter and the holderbat or pipe clip.
We can also offer traditional drive brackets, repair brackets and fascia brackets in both steel and cast iron.
It is always advisable to replace like with like because quite often the brackets form and important part of the buildings architecture. Occasionally buildings have special decorative brackets and our UK manufacturing allows us to produce small quantities of bespoke brackets when required.
