A genuine half round beaded cast iron guttering rainwater system with double beading.
The cast iron beaded half round 90 degree gutter angle is the standard corner fitting for the beaded profile — the traditional rainwater system for Scotland, northern England, and the many Victorian and Edwardian buildings found across both regions. The beaded lip detail matches the gutter section and maintains the visual integrity of the installation at every directional change.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002 and available in the four standard beaded half round sizes: 100mm (4″), 115mm (4.5″), 125mm (5″), and 150mm (6″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. The angle forms a square 90 degree turn in the gutter run and connects to adjacent sections via the standard socket-and-spigot system.
Specified on listed buildings, conservation area properties, and heritage restoration projects where the beaded half round is the historically correct profile. Accepted by Historic Environment Scotland and conservation officers in Scotland and northern England as the appropriate material for period rainwater work.

The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is available in three pipe connection sizes: 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), and 100mm (4"). Each size connects directly to matching cast iron downpipes via spigot and socket. Compatible downpipe codes are: 65mm — RH025, XRH025; 75mm — RH03, XRH03; 100mm — RH04, XRH04.
The Gothic foliate tracery design of the Ornamental Airbrick provides a good free-flow ventilation area relative to its face size. The open area is comparable to other standard cast iron airbrick patterns. The visual density of the pattern at a distance reads as solid ironwork, which suits formal and decorative elevations without compromising subfloor ventilation effectiveness.
Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. A linseed oil paint finish is also offered — a sustainable, vapour-permeable option particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vents are available in two sizes: 225mm × 82mm (single-course, suitable for standard airbrick positions) and 225mm × 150mm (double-course format). Both sizes are available in all three finishes: Antique Black, Polished Lacquered, and Polished Brass.
The Ornamental Airbrick (OAB) is available in three sizes: 225mm × 75mm (2.8kg), 225mm × 150mm (4.1kg), and 225mm × 225mm (5.8kg). All sizes have a uniform depth of 75mm, making them consistent to install across a subfloor ventilation course.
The School Board Airbrick suits Victorian and Edwardian institutional, civic, and residential buildings where the square-grid airbrick pattern was standard — including school buildings, civic halls, estate housing, terrace houses, and warehouses. It is also appropriate on listed buildings and conservation area properties as a like-for-like replacement for worn square-grid cast iron vents.
