York Glaziers Trust

The York Glaziers Trust is a charitable trust and specialist stained glass conservation studio based in the centre of York. It states that it is the oldest and largest such studio in Britain. Its 17 staff include three ICON accredited conservators. The Trust cares for the historic glass of York Minster and carries out conservation projects across the UK, from cathedrals and parish churches to museums, galleries and private collections. It works on medieval glass, 17th-century and Georgian enamel-painted glass, Victorian and Edwardian stained glass, 20th-century windows and historic plain glazing. It also offers technical and art-historical analysis, environmental monitoring and photography, and its members advise cathedral and diocesan committees.
