Tonic Architecture Ltd
Tonic Architecture is a small RIBA Chartered practice based at the Engine Shed in Bristol and in Wiltshire, working across the South West, the Cotswolds and southern England. It states that a good deal of its work involves listed buildings, including manor houses, former rectories, cottages, Georgian townhouses and curtilage-listed outbuildings. Projects described include the refurbishment of a Grade I listed medieval manor house in the Cotswolds, a Grade II* medieval manor house in North Somerset, a Grade II listed former rectory in Warwickshire, a listed yeoman’s cottage in the Mendips, a Georgian townhouse in Bath and conversions of a curtilage-listed piggery and cart shed in Wiltshire. Co-founder Tobias is a RIBA-accredited Conservation Registrant, and the practice favours breathable, reclaimed and locally sourced materials when upgrading traditional buildings.
