The Stained Glass Factory

The Stained Glass Factory is a small stained glass studio near Bristol city centre, run by Rupert. He designs and makes bespoke leaded windows and restores original windows. He has made stained glass for almost thirty years. His design work is influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. All work uses traditional materials and techniques: lead came, soldered joints and glass cement for weatherproofing. Larger panels are reinforced with steel bars tied with bronze wire, or with concealed steel strips inside the lead. Most clients are in and around Bristol, with commissions also in London, Wales and the south of England.
