The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC)
The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) is the UK roofing industry’s trade body and maintains the National Heritage Roofing Contractors Register. The register assesses, accredits and lists firms and individuals with demonstrated skills and experience in historic roofing, including the use of local clay tile, slate, stone and shingle. Applicants must provide evidence of training and knowledge in their discipline and pass an on-site assessment. The register is recognised by Historic England, Cadw, Historic Scotland, the Environment and Heritage Service for Northern Ireland and the National Heritage Training Group, and gives specifiers a means of appointing a contractor vetted for work on churches, mills, farmhouses, civic buildings and country houses.
Suitable for: architects, surveyors and owners seeking a vetted heritage roofing contractor for a listed building anywhere in the UK.
Services: National Heritage Roofing Contractors Register; assessment and accreditation of heritage roofers; technical advice; industry standards and guidance.
Location: London; register covering the UK.
