The Bulmer Brick and Tile Company

The Bulmer Brick & Tile Company is a family-run brickworks on the Suffolk/Essex border, producing handmade facing bricks and specialist shapes from washed clay using methods dating back to the Middle Ages. The range includes copings, plinths, squints, jambs, mullions, bullnose bricks and more than 5,000 other variations, plus a dedicated cutting service for gauged, hand-cut brickwork and bonding to match customer-supplied samples. The company also operates Cambridge Brick & Tile, a sister brickworks producing handmade wares from Gault clay at Burwell, and offers consultancy support for restoration projects requiring period-accurate materials.
