The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland is a charity dedicated to the protection, preservation, study and appreciation of Scotland’s historic buildings. Through a network of voluntary local Cases Panels, the Society monitors applications for listed building consent and for planning permission in conservation areas, offering advice and guidance to planning authorities and applicants; its casework can be searched by keyword and planning application reference. It also publishes a magazine and a journal for members and the wider heritage sector, and runs symposia and other events through the year.
