Stonehouse Restorations

Stonehouse Restorations is a heritage stonemasonry business in South Devon, run by Jed, that repairs and conserves traditional stone-built homes. It specialises in lime pointing using lime-based mortars, rubble walling, architectural stonemasonry and forming structural stone openings. It also builds stone extensions designed to match existing buildings. Recent work includes restoring a Victorian mansion, where walls were raked out and repointed in lime mortar, a bay window and gables were rebuilt, stone was replaced, arched windows were renewed and the masonry was cleaned. The firm has also worked on a local authority project in a conservation area. Free site surveys are offered.
