Stonehenge Masonry

Stonehenge Masonry is a small stonemasonry business based in Wellington, Somerset, founded in 1997 by Richard Smith, who began his apprenticeship and college training in 1984. Much of the work is the hand carving of natural stone, supplied both to other trade professionals and to domestic clients. The firm also cleans stone features and buildings using methods and materials suited to the stone, and restores damaged features by cutting in, renewing or replacing elements that cannot be saved, combining traditional and modern techniques. It notes that Somerset’s stately homes and historic buildings make up a regular part of its workload. Projects are taken on across the country, with the team relocating to site where needed, and overseas work has been undertaken.
