Stedman Blower

Category
Architects

Stedman Blower is an architectural practice that concentrates on historic houses and rural buildings in Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex. Its portfolio spans several decades and includes restoration, extension and adaptation of listed and older properties. Examples include restoring an 18th-century village house in Hampshire, rescuing a medieval cottage in west Surrey, and work at a pre-Conquest Grade I listed manor house in the Surrey Hills. The practice has converted oak and threshing barns, extended an Arts and Crafts house, upgraded a revivalist country house and remodelled a house by Thackeray Turner. Other projects include a Grade II farmhouse in the Hampshire Downs, a thatched house, a 1730 townhouse adapted for commercial use, a stone country house in the South Downs National Park and a 16th-century Surrey farmhouse. Alongside historic work it also designs new houses, including green oak buildings.
