Soul Architects

Soul Architects is a Nottinghamshire architectural practice working mainly on churches and historic buildings. It covers Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Yorkshire. Its conservation work includes repair and re-ordering of existing heritage buildings, and design of linked or detached extensions to them. It also designs new buildings within conservation areas and on difficult sites. Project types listed by the practice include churches, hotels, houses, windmills and farm buildings. The practice approaches each building on its own terms, looking for solutions that grow out of the existing structure and its setting rather than imposing a standard design. Its stated professional affiliations include RIBA, AABC and IHBC, which reflects its focus on historic building work.
