Rose of Jericho, established in 1989, manufactures and supplies materials for the conservation, repair and redecoration of historic and traditional buildings from Horchester Farm in Dorset. It produces limewash, distemper, emulsion, flat oil and eggshell paints by hand to order, slakes lime, matures lime putty and prepares ready-mixed lime bedding, pointing and plastering mortars, together with graded stone dusts, pozzolans and pigments. The firm carries out mortar and materials analysis and historic building consultancy, and holds a library of British aggregates and mortars from which it matches materials to individual projects. Clients include the Royal Household, Historic Royal Palaces, Historic England, the Landmark Trust and several cathedrals, alongside private owners.
