Philip White Thatching

Philip White Thatching is a small team led by Philip White, who has more than 35 years in the trade. Based in Axminster, it works within about 50 miles, covering East Devon and West Dorset, including Honiton, Exmouth, Seaton, Axmouth, Beer, Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. The firm uses the two materials most associated with the area, water reed and combed wheat reed, and undertakes new thatching, rethatching, ridging and repairs. One client describes a cottage rethatch completed over eight weeks. Free site visits and estimates are offered. Philip states he is a member of the National Society of Master Thatchers and the Devon and Cornwall Master Thatchers Association.
