Lloyd & Smith Ltd is a stonemasonry and building restoration contractor with a workshop in Oldham, carrying out ecclesiastical masonry work across Lancashire and South West Yorkshire. The firm employs banker and fixer masons, preparing stonework in its workshop and fixing it on site. Recent work includes a restoration project at St Alkmund’s Church, Whitchurch, which was under way when the 2020 lockdown began. Much of its order book is church masonry, and it recruits skilled masons for varied restoration projects. Updates on its church projects are published on the company blog.
