Jim Lawrence is a family-run British manufacturer of lighting, ironmongery and home furnishings, based at The Ironworks in Hadleigh, Suffolk. The business began on a Suffolk farm in 1994 and is still run by its founders, Jim and Sheena Lawrence. Products are designed, assembled and hand finished in-house, with workshop skills covering blacksmithing, welding, metal spinning, antiquing, beeswaxing and painting, and glass blowing through its Suffolk Glass workshop.
The lighting range takes in wall lights, pendants, lanterns, picture lights, outdoor and porch lights, and surface conduit for buildings where concealed wiring is not practical. Ironmongery includes door handles and knobs, hinges, latches, bolts, knockers, letter plates, window stays and sash window fittings, alongside switches and sockets, curtain poles, handrails and stair rods. A rewiring and refinishing service is offered for existing pieces. Showrooms are in Hadleigh, Walcot Street in Bath and Pimlico Road in London. The company is a member of the Lighting Industry Association Quality Assurance Scheme.
