Houghtons of York
Houghtons of York is a family-run firm of architectural joiners and woodcarvers established in 1995, with workshops at Dunnington on the edge of York. Its joiners, carpenters and carvers combine traditional methods with modern machinery, working for private owners, architects, the National Trust, English Heritage, parish churches and cathedrals. Work ranges from new build to restoration, conservation and repair, and includes staircases, doors, sash windows, kitchens, fire surrounds, gates, libraries and panelling, oak frames and secret doors.
