Hartley Botanic has manufactured aluminium greenhouses and glasshouses at Greenfield near Oldham since 1938, when founder Vincent Hartley patented his aluminium frame design as a successor to Victorian timber and wrought iron structures. Every greenhouse is handmade to order in England, and the range includes Victorian glasshouses, heritage greenhouses, modern horticultural houses and fully bespoke structures. Hartley’s glasshouses are the only aluminium ones endorsed by the RHS. The process runs from design discussion and show-site visits through technical specification, manufacture, delivery and erection on site, and the company publishes guidance on choosing size and heating.
