Hargreaves:architecture+design

Hargreaves:architecture+design is a small practice in Tiverton, Devon, run by Stephen Hargreaves, who formed his own practice in 1991 after training at the Sheffield University School of Architecture, and Dan Hargreaves, who leads its 3D visualisation work. The practice designs new homes, renovations, extensions and conversions. It states that it works on listed buildings and in conservation areas and understands local historic assets, which is the heritage element of its work. Conversion projects include bringing redundant buildings such as stone and cob barns or brick outbuildings into residential use while keeping their character. Renovations typically keep the existing shell of a building, rework the internal layout and add extensions. Owners of rural or older properties in Devon considering a barn conversion, sympathetic extension or alteration may find the practice a useful local option.
