Glaze Conservation is a conservation studio in Swindon that specialises in the care and repair of ceramics. Its conservator is trained to postgraduate level in the care and conservation of historic collections and has more than five years’ experience in collections care. As well as ceramics, that experience covers photographic collections, paper, textiles and natural history material, and there is a particular interest in English porcelain. The studio states that it is a member of Icon, the Institute of Conservation. It works on individual damaged objects, not building fabric, so it suits owners and custodians of historic houses who need ceramic collections or decorative pieces conserved.
