Fenton Holloway
Fenton Holloway is a structural engineering consultancy based in Bristol, founded in 1995. It takes on new-build, alteration and specialist projects. Historic structures form one of its main areas of work, and one of its directors is a Conservation Accredited Engineer. Heritage projects described by the firm include repairs to the retaining walls of Cardigan Castle, using ground anchors and wall pinning in place of older steel shoring. Other work covers Highcliffe Castle, the Tudor House Museum in Southampton and the listed piers at Clevedon and Swanage, as well as the historic ships SS Great Britain and HMS Victory. The practice also designs tensile and lightweight structures, temporary demountable buildings, sports facilities and art installations, and carries out structural surveys and defect investigations on listed buildings.
