Everingham Conservation
Everingham Conservation is a Harrogate studio led by David Everingham, a qualified conservator who trained at the Bowes Museum and worked for many years at the National Gallery of Australia. The practice works in two areas: larger on-site conservation projects in churches and historic buildings, and the conservation of easel paintings in the studio. Each treatment begins with a visual and technical assessment and follows recognised conservation ethics. Clients have included the Bowes Museum, the National Railway Museum, the Royal Armouries, several councils, conservation architects, and churches and historic houses in the north of England such as St Anne’s Cathedral in Leeds, Kiplin Hall and Oxton Hall. David states he is a long-standing member of ICON and the York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship.
