Dale Sugg Master Thatchers

Dale Sugg Master Thatchers is a thatching business based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, run by Dale Sugg, a second-generation thatcher. Dale began thatching alongside his father in 1988, straight after leaving school, and has worked in the trade continuously since then. The business takes on thatching work across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, giving it a working area that spans much of southern and central England’s thatched building stock. Owners of thatched houses and cottages in these counties can contact the business by landline or mobile, or by email, to discuss repairs, re-ridging or re-thatching. Dale Sugg states he is a member of the National Society of Master Thatchers and of the Wiltshire Master Thatchers Association, both organisations representing qualified master thatchers working in the region.
