Cyma Architects is an RIBA chartered practice founded in 2000 and based at the Cyma Architecture Shop on the Old High Street in Folkestone. Its directors spent many years on historic building conservation and on new green oak frame housing, and the practice knows Kent building types from sixteenth-century vernacular houses and farm buildings through Georgian, Victorian, Arts and Crafts and Edwardian work. It conserves and alters listed buildings, designs new houses, extensions, conversions and community buildings, and has built a record with planning officers across Kent over more than twenty years. It funds tree planting through Ecologi for each planning application and completed project.
