Cobb Thatching Ltd

Cobb Thatching Ltd trades as Cambridgeshire Master Thatchers and is based at Needingworth, near St Ives. The firm works with long straw, which is threshed in a way that keeps the stems at full length, and with combed wheat straw, which is threshed to remove the grain and then combed so the stems lie in one direction. It describes these materials as producing tightly packed, weather-resistant roofs that can last 50 years or more with proper maintenance. Enquiries are taken for new thatching, ongoing maintenance and general work on thatched roofs in Cambridgeshire.
