CJR Heritage Services
Dan Richard Carpentry & Construction is one strand of CJR Heritage Services, a family partnership based in Herefordshire that combines heritage consultancy with historic building restoration. It draws on around fifty years’ experience: C J Richards MBE, IHBC, provides conservation and planning advice, Dan Richards carries out carpentry and construction, and Joe Richards specialises in heritage carpentry. Since 2014 the associates have worked on historic buildings along the Welsh border and in the Lake District, including the re-roofing, timber-frame panel renewal and seventeenth-century plaster ceiling repair at the Old Mayor’s Parlour in Hereford. Its craftsmen are used to working under Historic England oversight.
Suitable for: timber-framed and other historic buildings in the Welsh Marches needing carpentry-led repair, with conservation advice available from the same team.
