Castree
Castree is a civil and structural engineering consultancy set up in 2009, with offices in Sheffield, Chester and Nottingham. It works across residential, commercial, education, industrial, modular construction and leisure sectors, and also designs bespoke stairs, architectural metalwork and supports for public sculpture. For listed and historic buildings the firm applies a conservation engineering approach to repair, refurbishment and remodelling, aiming to keep as much original fabric as possible while meeting the requirements of conservation officers and statutory bodies. Related work includes temporary works and façade retention, with projects such as Magdalen College and a High Street scheme in Nantwich. Listed building examples include Ashton Gardens Institute, Moat Hall Barns, Finsley Gate Wharf in Burnley and Rivington Terrace Gardens. Structural appraisals and survey reports are also offered.
