British Woodworking Federation
The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK, with more than 500 members. It provides advice, support and regulatory information to members, along with guidance for those specifying timber products for domestic or commercial projects, and represents the sector on policy, regulations and standards. It operates two industry schemes: the BWF Fire Door Alliance, which promotes third-party certified fire doors installed by certified companies, and the BWF Stair Scheme, which promotes well designed, well manufactured and safe stairs. Publications include technical advice, contractual and employment guidance and health and safety material.
