British Sundial Society
The British Sundial Society takes an interest in every aspect of telling the time by the sun, spanning the history, art, science and making of sundials. It maintains a register of more than 10,000 fixed and mass sundials, with photographs, information and locations for publicly viewable dials across the UK, and a freely available online encyclopaedia of over 1,500 articles drawn from its quarterly Bulletin, published since 1989. It offers help and advice, contact details for makers of bespoke sundials, downloadable monographs, and practical resources on designing, making, reading and setting up dials. Conferences and meetings are held around the UK.
