British Horological Institute
The British Horological Institute has trained horologists in clock and watch repair and making, and supported the horological industry, since 1858. Based at Upton Hall in Nottinghamshire, it runs courses ranging from taster days and beginners’ watchmaking through to distance learning leading to professional qualifications and accreditation. Associate membership is open to anyone worldwide and includes the Horological Journal, access to more than 160 years of the journal’s digital archive, and a members’ forum.
