British Archaeological Association
The British Archaeological Association has brought together architecture, art and archaeology since 1843. Its focus is the period between the Roman era and the Middle Ages, in Britain, Europe and the Mediterranean. The association runs a programme of lectures and events, holds international conferences — recent meetings have covered Romanesque art and architecture — and supports research through the Jill Franklin Fellowship and travel grants. It also publishes news of members’ research on the history of architecture and art.
