The Association for Studies in the Conservation of Historic Buildings, known as ASCHB and pronounced ‘ash-bee’, was founded in 1968 to provide a forum for professionals engaged in the conservation of the built environment. A voluntary body based in London, it brings together practitioners from across the conservation disciplines through a programme of lectures, visits and other events. It publishes Transactions, its journal of conservation articles, with abstracts available of all published papers, and circulates news to its membership.
