Archaeology Scotland
Archaeology Scotland is a charity that promotes the understanding, protection and enjoyment of Scotland’s archaeological heritage. Based at Newbattle Abbey College in Dalkeith, Midlothian, it is a registered Scottish charity regulated by OSCR. Its work includes the Adopt-a-Monument scheme, which helps communities care for local sites, the coordination of Scottish Archaeology Month in collaboration with Doors Open Days as part of European Heritage Days, a summer school, the Heritage Hero Awards and the Young Archaeologists’ Club. It also provides learning resources for all ages through its heritage resource portal and publishes research and an archive of past work.
