Anthony Beech Furniture Conservation and Restoration

Furniture Conservation and Restoration is led by Anthony James Beech and works from Burghley House at Stamford in Lincolnshire, covering the UK. The workshop restores and conserves antique furniture and woodcarving, and also works on historic building interiors and in churches and cathedrals. Projects shown include on-site conservation of the cedar panelling and carved decoration in the chapel at Chatsworth, conservation of a state bed at Burghley House with a textile conservation studio, a William Kent-style carved pedestal and a Wrotham desk with spliced repairs to its applied carving.
