Alan Gumbrell Thatching Limited

Alan Gumbrell Thatching Limited has been working from Beechingstoke, near Pewsey in Wiltshire, since 1977. Alan and his team handle everything from small repairs through to complete rethatching, and work on a wide mix of buildings including houses, cottages, barns and summerhouses. Three materials are used: long straw, combed wheat straw and water reed, with the combed wheat straw grown and harvested locally. Free quotations are offered and the team will answer questions about a roof before any work is agreed. The firm states it is a member of the National Society of Master Thatchers.
