Adam Nash Master Thatcher

Adam Nash is a thatcher based at Crockerton near Warminster who works across Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset. A former infantry officer, he trained for several years under a local master thatcher before setting up on his own, and in 2005 received a scholarship from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust for his thatching. He and his team work in combed wheat, long straw and water reed, carrying out both roof and wall thatching. The business keeps work in-house rather than sub-contracting, runs a single site at a time so the full team stays on one job, and provides free site visits and quotations. Adam states he is a member of the National Society of Master Thatchers, having had his work inspected before joining.
