Access Maintenance Solutions began as steeplejacks in 1974 and works from a base just outside Leeds, near the M62 and M1. It reaches sites from Sheffield to Liverpool, York and Hull. Its steeplejack services include repair, maintenance and demolition of chimney stacks and of church towers and spires, along with lightning protection and maintenance, often using a bosun’s chair for difficult access. Much of its work is industrial, with past clients including Arla, Britvic, Greggs and Ferrybridge Power Station. The firm states it holds CHAS and ATLAS accreditation.
