The Rectangular Pipe to Round Connector provides a transition fitting between a cast iron rectangular downpipe and a cast iron round downpipe, allowing the two pipe systems to be joined cleanly in a single run. Used where a rectangular pipe at the upper part of the elevation transitions to a round pipe — for example where the rectangular section connects to a round underground drainage system, or where an existing round pipe is being connected to a new rectangular installation above.
An important practical fitting on heritage restoration projects where the existing above-ground pipe is rectangular and the below-ground or transition pipework is round. Yes. Cast iron ornamental vents in period patterns are frequently specified on listed buildings and conservation area properties as like-for-like replacements for original Victorian ironwork. Conservation officers generally accept cast iron in period patterns without objection. We can supply specifications to support planning and listed building consent applications.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
